  • One Tbsp Olive Oil
  • Few Drops of Essential Oil

Steep green tea bags in a cup of hot water for 25 minutes and then let it cool down. Now add green tea water to Baby Shampoo and olive oil in the mixture. You can also add a few drops of essential oil like lavender or rose oil to add a nice fragrance. Use this shampoo instead of using a chemical one. It is a very good herbal shampoo which will not only cleanse your hair but it will also condition them.

3. Honey Lemon Shampoo – Oily Hair Shampoo
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons baby Shampoo
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 2 tablespoon Lemon Juice
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon almond oil
  • 1 tablespoon rosewater

Put all the ingredients in a bottle and shake well. Massage into your hair and your scalp well and then rinse out with warm, not hot water. Keep the leftovers in the refrigerator and use the next time you shampoo. This recipe is especially suited for people with oily hair and scalp.

4. Herbal Shampoo – Lustrous Hair
  • 10 gms of Shikaki
  • 10 gms of Reetha
  • 5 gms of dried Amla
  • Orange peel or Lemon Peel

Put all the ingredients in a pan and add 500 Ml of Water over it. Let it Soak in the water Overnight. Boil the mixture on the gas before using it for hair cleansing. This Shampoo is a Natural Cleanser and add life back to hair. This is an age old recipe used across India in many households.

5. Egg Shampoo – For All Hair types
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon baby shampoo
  • 1/2 cup water

Add all the ingredients in a blender and blend until you get a smooth and runny liquid. Put this liquid in an old shampoo bottle and store in the refrigerator for multiple use. This is a very easy and simple way to get your hair clean, shiny and healthy, using only natural ingredients. This shampoo is good for all hair types, it’s very nourishing and moisturizing.

Baking Soda Shampoo – Clarifying Shampoo
  • 1/2 cup baking soda
  • 3 cups water

Mix it well and Store in a plastic or glass container. You can also make it one serving at a time. Mix 1 Tablespoon of baking soda with 1 cup of warm water. Shake well each time you want to use this natural clarifying shampoo. Apply to your scalp and scrub it gently.

6. Jojoba oil shampoo – For Dry Hair
  • 1 tbsp baby shampoo
  • 1 /2 tsp glycerin
  • 1/2 tsp jojoba oil
  • 1/2 tsp melted coconut oil
  • 1/4 cup distilled water

    Swirl all the ingredients together in a mixing bowl and store in air-tight container. This shampoo will not lather as much as commercial ones but it will clean your hair nicely.

    7. Vinegar Shampoo – Anti Dandruff Shampoo
    • Apple Cider Vinegar- 2 Tablespoons
    • Hot Water- 1/2 Cup
    • Baking soda – 1/2 tbsp
    • Tea Tree Oil- 5-10 drops

    Mix the ingredients all together in a dispenser bottle and add a few drops of essential oil into it and your shampoo are ready to use.

    8. Aloe Vera Shampoo – Oily Hair Shampoo
    • 1/4 cup aloe vera gel
    • 1/4 cup baby Shampoo
    • Vitamin E oil- 1/2 teaspoon
    • Lemon Juice – 2 tsp
    • Few drops of essential oil (optional)

    Aloe vera and lemon has great nourishing and cleansing properties. Put lemon along with aloe vera gel and put them into a food processor and blend it well until you get a smooth runny paste. Use this as a shampoo, massage it into the wet hair and rinse off.

    9. Lemon and Cucumber Shampoo – Dry Hair Shampoo
    • 1 lemon
    • 1 Cucumber

    This shampoo is a life saver for women with dry hair. Peel one lemon and one cucumber. Blend both in a food processor till you get a smooth paste, to apply as a shampoo. Scrub your scalp after you have applied the shampoo and then wash off really well. Bits of lemon may tend to stick to the hair. The trick is to comb them out after your hair is dry.
