Hair straightening is a hair styling technique that involves straightening and flattening of hair so that it gives a soft, organized and slim look to the old frizzy hair.

There are permanent straightening and temporary hair straightening solutions for hair. Since permanent hair straightening involves too much chemicals and may damage the hair, so today I will give you some tips on temporary hair straightening (DIY at home):

First clean the flat iron so that there is no dust on it. Then heat it at a suitable temperature. Before starting the straightening, wash your hair with shampoo and use a good conditioner. Now let your hair dry and start combing your hair properly. The best tip would be to start straightening your hair from back with the flat iron and then the front hair. Don’t keep combing your hair after you have straighten it with the flat iron as it may again make your hair look frizzy.

Cut celery leaves and take juice out of it. Keep the juice in the bottle overnight. Apply the juice to the length of the hair next day. Comb the hair so that the solution is evenly distributed and then leave it as a hair mask for one hour. Then wash your hair and blow dry for a natural straight looking hair.

Milk and water

Mix 50% water and 50% milk in a spray bottle. Comb your hair nicely and then spray the solution on the hair and scalp. Keep this for half an hour. Rinse thoroughly to have a straight looking hair.

Coconut Milk and Lemon Juice

When coconut milk and lemon juice are mixed together, it becomes a cream solution and works well as a conditioner and helps in straightening the hair. Then wash your hair with warm water and apply this remedy twice a week for better results.

Olive oil and eggs

Mix 2 eggs with 4 tablespoon of olive oil and apply on your hair and scalp. Keep the mixture for an hour. Then rinse it with lukewarm water. This mixture will not only straighten your hair but also make it smooth.Egg act as a natural hair conditioner.

To make a banana hair mask, you need 2 bananas, honey, yoghurt and olive oil. Mash the banana with a fork and add 2 tablespoon of honey in it. Then add yogurt and 2 tablespoon of olive oil. Mix all the ingredients well and apply on the hair. Keep the mask for 40 minutes. This becomes a perfect hair mask for straightening the hair.

Aloe Vera Gel Mask

Aloe vera works as a perfect herb to not only straighten the hair but also to nourish it. Take half a cup of oil (particularly olive oil) and half a cup of aloe vera gel. Before using the oil, make sure to warm it. Mix both of them together and use as a hair mask on your hair and scalp. It works in two ways, as a hair mask as well as a conditioner. Keep it for 30-40 minutes and then rinse it thoroughly. This will make the hair look straight and lustrous.

Egg Mask and Rice Flour
To make this make we have to mix one egg white with 5 spoon of rice flour. In this add a cup of fuller’s earth. Mix the solution, comb your hair properly and apply it on your hair. Leave the solution for one hour. Wash the hair with shampoo and let it dry. You should apply this mask twice a week for 2-3 months.

Eggs
Take 3-4 eggs and whip them properly till they become smooth. Apply the whipped eggson your hair and scalp. Leave this for 20-30 minutes, and then rinse your hair with mild shampoo. If the smell of the egg bothers your nose, then you can add yogurt to the solution.

Heat half a cup of olive oil and then pour half a cup of rosemary leaves in this hot olive oil. Strain the solution with muslin cloth and let it cool down. Now massage the scalp with this oil. Keep it for half an hour and then wash off with mild shampoo. After this take a hot towel and wrap your hair with it for 20 minutes. Then let the hair dry naturally for straight looking hair.
