i. Healthy snacks – Yes, I know you’ve read the words ‘healthy’ a thousand times before, but it seriously works! Instead of eating one giant meal that shoots up your calorie intake, split your meals into smaller portions and incorporate various salads in your diet. This could even mean munching on a carrot or an apple when you feel-like-eating-just-for-the-heck-of-it. Cravings are your worst enemies!

ii. Don’t Exorcise – If the word “exercise” sounds like “exorcise” to you, don’t think of it that way. Sitting for hours at your work station or cubicle adds those tires you so detest! Walk for a few minutes every now and then; take the stairs at least once while you’re at the office, and even trying something as simple as parking your car furthest in the lot could mean getting rid of your weight steadily.

iii. But I love junk food – Yeah, who doesn’t? So here’s the thing. Reduce your soda consumption to just one can a month, and try eating your pizzas and burgers with a wheat base. Veggies don’t hurt and maybe you should go easy on the cheese. This way, you’re not starving yourself, but just switching to a healthier option.

iv. Drink like a fish – Before you get any ideas, I meant WATER. Water cleanses your system and gets rid of excess fat. Drinking a glass of water before a meal can considerably reduce your appetite. You can even substitute this with a bowl of fruit.
